Africa’s number 1 podcast Podcast and Chill which was founded and hosted by seasoned South African broadcaster MacGyver Mukwevho famously known as Mac G with co- host, the talented and funny Sol Phenduka and the mysterious Ghost Lady will be putting together a spectacular event on July 30th in the drive for the odcast to reach 1 million subscribers.

At the time this article is published the podcast has just over 909 000 subscribers with 933 videos uploaded to their YouTube channels across the platform’s various podcasts and shows like After Chillers with DJ Jaws, Podcast and Ride which was hosted by Naak Musiq, On the Table, The Chillers Club and The Hang Out just to name a few.

This will not be the first time the podcast has reached a great milestone, In 2021 the podcast landed a deal with Multichoice to broadcast Podcast & Chill: Celebrity Edition on Africa’s number 1 music video network Channel O, the podcast reportedly makes around R320k a month/3.8 million per annum from just YouTube Ad Sense and has scored numerous award nominations and wins including a Podcaster of The Year Award the podcast won at the VN Global Media Awards in 2021. Podcast and Chill recently broke a record as the only podcast to have a sold out countrywide cinema rollout when the trio interviewed the Grammy Award winning South African DJ, Black Coffee in February 2023.

Over they years the podcast has brought some of the biggest celebrity and newsmakers interviews including Pearl Thusi, DJ Zinhle, DJ Black Coffee, Zolisa Xaluva, Babes Wodumo, Dineo Ranaka, Oskido, DJ Fresh, Sizwe Dhlomo, Gareth Cliff, Nasty C, Dr. John Kani, Thando Thabethe and Tumi Morake, Blxckie and many more.
