AFRICAN REPRESENTATION IS LOUD AT MTV’S VMA’S 2024.

The nominees for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards known as the VMA’S 2024 edition have been announced some of Africa’s brightest stars are competing for the moonman this year.

The highlights of this year’s show is the African represantion at an all time high and breaking new records.

South African songstress Tyla is the most nominated African artist this year with 3 nominations including Best New Artist, Best R&B for Water and Best Afrobeats for Water, other nominees include Burna Boy for City Boys, Ayra Starr for Last Heat break Song ft. American R&B singer Giveon and Tems for Love Me JeJe in the Best Afrobeats category along side American singers Usher for Ruin featuring Nigeria’s Pheelz and Chris Brown for Sensational his collaboration with Nigeria’s Davido and Lojay.

American global superstar and music’s billionaire Taylor Swift leads the nominations with 10 nods followed by Post Malone with 9.

Ariana Grande, Eminem, and Sabrina Carpenter are tied third with 6 nods respectively.

The 2024 VMAs will take place in the United States on September 11 at the USB Arena in New York.
